Statement of Faith

As a non-profit Christian ministry, Fa’atuatua Hope and Love bases its work on the teachings of Jesus Christ. We consistently combine our faith with action by serving those who are impacted by trauma regardless of their religious beliefs ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

We affirm our Christian identity with the following statement of faith:

  1. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  2. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return in power and glory. (John 1:1-3)

  4. We believe that sin’s nature contaminates and corrupts mankind, resulting in physical and spiritual death. (Romans 6:23)

  5. We believe unconditional love is expressed and offered by God, in spite of mankind’s sinful condition. (Romans 5:8)

  6. We believe salvation is God’s rescue from sin’s destruction and penalty to restored intimacy with Him. (John 3:16)

  7. We believe Christ died to satisfy sin’s penalty and rose from the dead to confirm His victory. (1 Corinthians 15:3-6)

  8. We believe justification is a right-standing before God; granted to us by the righteousness of Christ. (Romans 5:1-2)

  9. We believe believers receive salvation by grace, through faith in Christ, and evidence it by good works. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

  10. We believe forgiveness is offered through Christ’s sacrificial death when we truly confess and repent. (Ephesians 1:7)
